Baja Rehab Partnered with Amor Ministries and 3 Blind Mice for a Life-Changing Project

At Baja Rehab, recovery isn’t just about overcoming addiction—it’s about rebuilding lives and giving back to the community. Recently, our staff had the incredible opportunity to collaborate with Amor Ministries and 3 Blind Mice in a three-day house-building project that changed not just one family’s life, but also left a lasting impact on those who participated.

A Mission of Compassion and Community

Amor Ministries is dedicated to improving the lives of underserved families by providing safe and stable housing. When Baja Rehab staff learned about this initiative, they eagerly stepped up to contribute, using their time, effort, and teamwork to construct a home for a family in need. 3 Blind Mice, a company known for its commitment to community service, also joined the effort, providing additional support and resources. This project was more than just an act of service—it was a powerful reminder of resilience, unity, and purpose.

Three Days of Hard Work and Heart

The house-building project took place over three days, each filled with hard work, collaboration, and personal growth:

Day 1: Laying the Foundation

The team began by setting the foundation, assembling the frame, and learning the fundamentals of construction under the guidance of experienced builders. Staff found themselves engaged in tasks like measuring, cutting, and securing materials—a hands-on experience that fostered confidence and teamwork.

Day 2: Walls Up, Spirits High

With the framework in place, the second day focused on installing walls, windows, and roofing. The staff embraced the challenge, pushing through physical and mental barriers, realizing their strength not just in their roles but in creating something tangible and meaningful.

Day 3: Finishing Touches and a New Beginning

The final day brought the most rewarding moment—the completion of the home. Staff painted, installed doors, and helped furnish the house. When the family received the keys to their new home, emotions ran high. Seeing the joy and gratitude in their eyes was a profound reminder of the power of service and second chances.

Healing Through Giving

For many Baja Rehab staff members, this project was about more than building a house—it was about fostering a culture of compassion and teamwork. Acts of service like this reconnect people with a sense of purpose and belonging. Working alongside Amor Ministries and 3 Blind Mice allowed our staff to step outside of their daily roles and contribute to something greater than themselves.

A Lasting Impact

This house will stand as a symbol of hope for the family who now calls it home, but it also represents growth and transformation for the staff who helped build it. At Baja Rehab, we believe in the power of community, and this project reaffirmed the belief that giving back is a vital part of our mission.

We are incredibly proud of our staff and grateful to Amor Ministries and 3 Blind Mice for allowing us to be part of this life-changing experience. Through projects like these, we continue to foster a culture of healing, service, and hope—one brick at a time.
