I offer my highest recommendation for Baha Rehab, believing that the unique aspects of this program were instrumental in saving the life of our adult son, who attempted to take his own life out of desperation to overcome his serious and overwhelming Substance Abuse Disorder. Baha Rehab stands out among treatment programs in that it offers a safe, therapeutic environment that the person suffering from a Substance Use Disorder may not voluntarily leave. One could pay exponentially more money for programs in the United States, only to have their loved one walk away from treatment at the most critical time, as addiction is a chronically relapsing brain disorder that fights for itself in the sufferer’s brain and needs significant time of sobriety and therapy for new brain pathways to form.
Director Adam Lincoln was invaluable to us in preparing for our son’s admittance to the program during a truly frightening time, and being available to us through the process of his therapy and final release at a time when our son had the greatest potential to continue his therapy on an outpatient basis. The caring staff, excellent variety of personalized therapies and evaluations, along with the proven 12 step model, gave our son the confidence he needed to build a foundation to continue recovering from his significant trauma.
Baha Rehab is not a sterile, clinical setting, but offers supportive family atmosphere in natural, relaxed setting that is at the same time utterly secure, and where the SUD sufferer is treated as a whole person and given adequate time to develop the coping skills necessary to begin a new life. The family component allows families to be a part of their loved one’s recovery without falling into co-dependent patterns. This component was made conveniently available through on-line connection with the staff and the patient, supplemented by in-person family visits when appropriate.
I feel certain that our son would not be alive today had he been admitted to even the most luxurious, highly rated facility in the US, and we will remain ever grateful to God and the person who recommended Baja Rehab to our family.

Sometimes it's hard to ask for help, but when most of the rehabs in the United States are all about scamming insurance companies it's easy to see why places like this are necessary. If you really want help, and not to be set up for failure to be a recurring "customer" give this place a shot. They've had good success

We took our 22 year son to Baja after 17 stays in US rehabs, where he ran every time. From the moment I spoke with Adam (owner), I knew this was where our son needed to be. John has been at Baja since June and has made more progress than ever before. He is drug and alcohol free for the first time in years and is surrounded by competent and loving people who support him each and every day.
His psychologist, Felipe, stays in constant contact with us and we visit John weekly via ZOOM. We visited him last month and stayed at the Las Rocas Hotel (right down the street from the rehab) and were delighted with our accommodations. During our visit with John, at Baja, we were introduced to EVERYONE and we could not believe the outpouring of kindness from every staff member, it is truly an incredible place.
Initially, I was hesitant about sending our son to Mexico for rehab but we are so glad we made the decision. He is safe and finally, finally getting the help he needs.
Thank you Baja, for all you are doing for our son and our family!

I am so thankful for the dedication and caring attitude of Adam and all of the staff at Baja. I made the trip in January from Georgia to San Diego to try to get my son help after being in psychosis for 8 months (lost 80 lbs in 4 months) and after we landed in San Diego he bolted. I had to return to Georgia not knowing if I would ever see him again. Three days later I got a call from the San Diego PD that my son was in custody and was being transported to a hospital. Adam sent someone to pick him up and transport him to Baja. I am just returning from my second visit there and I am so pleased with all of the staff and the care he is receiving. My son has been a particularly difficult case so his stay there has been much longer than most. I have tried with no success to get help for him in the US for over 14 years. Adam and Baja saved my son’s life and I am so thankful. If you are thinking of sending a loved one here I would highly recommend you do it. I am willing and eager to speak to anyone who has any concerns or questions as a parent or caregiver. Please feel free to reach out to Adam for my contact information and I will happily share my experience.

I went to Baja rehab over a year ago now, for their three month program. i was scared, but
it was the best decision i made in my life. Adam and his staff work hard to show recovering addicts there is a way to be sober, and they take you out (water park, beach, horseback riding, bowling, etc) to show you you could be sober and have fun. they take you to meetings outside of the rehab, and have a good scheduled routine to keep busy throughout the day, that includes meditation, check-ins, informative videos, and some fun. they have a store you could buy snacks from, and they have amazing chefs. the program itself is great, and you could tell Some of the staff really cares.

Excellent 90 day program, very very focused. Exactly what we needed for our son to reset before moving to another step down program.

Literal godsend. Thank you. Adam. Felipe. All staff who supported my family member and our family—you went above and beyond. Thank you so very much.
I’m so grateful to have found you guys. What Baja has to offer is completely unique and desperately needed right now.
Adam, the owner, answered our call and walked our family through everything. We drove 8 hours there the next day. Adam checked in regularly and made sure we we’re OK throughout, despite it being his weekend home with family.
It’s difficult to write a Google review and adequately express what has transpired- but I’m leaving one for the next person that’s here desperately looking for help. If you’re here reading this, you may have an inkling of the hell that brought me here reading these same reviews a few months ago. Baja is a game changer.
I can’t change another person. I get it. However, there are certain times/unique circumstances when someone needs a safe & supportive environment— for a few months— and be respectfully required to stay in place. Then, maybe- hopefully, they are fortunate enough to decide what they want to do with their lives. Baja empowered our person- guided them, kept them safe, and loved them until they were ready to take the next step.
Adam remained available but transitioned contact to our therapist, Felipe. We had weekly calls with Felipe and he worked regularly with our family member one-on-one while there. Felipe was the most patient, loving and beautiful guide throughout this process for our family. Adam went completely out of his way again to ensure our family member transitioned smoothly.
I’m happy to be a reference if someone needs it- it’s the least thing I could ever do. Adam can give you my number if he feels it would be useful. I’m indebted. Grateful beyond.

Thank you Adam and all of the staff at Baja for providing the much needed support for me on this path of recovery. I’m grateful for the time I spent at Baja, it really gave me a chance to reflect on the direction my life was headed and help lay a firm foundation for my recovery. Im excited to be back on track to live a full life free from substance.

I was a patient at this amazing facility for 2 months, and it was truly a life-changing experience.
Before coming to Baja Rehab, I was struggling with alcohol addiction, and my life was spiraling out of control. I knew I needed help, and that's when I found Baja Rehab. From the moment I walked through the doors, I knew I was in good hands.
The staff at Baja Rehab was incredibly supportive and knowledgeable. They helped me understand the root causes of my addiction and gave me the tools I needed to overcome it. I learned so much about myself and my addiction during my stay at Baja Rehab, and I am forever grateful for that.
The facility itself was amazing. It was a lockdown facility, which helped me stay focused on my recovery without any distractions. The accommodations were comfortable, and the food was freshly made and delicious. The activities and therapy sessions were well-structured, and they kept me engaged throughout my stay.
But what really made the difference at Baja Rehab was the people. I made some real friends during my time there, and we supported each other throughout our recovery journey. We laughed, cried, and celebrated our victories together. The sense of community and support at Baja Rehab was truly inspiring.
Today, I am happy to say that I am still sober a year later, and I am in recovery. Baja Rehab gave me a second chance at life, and I am forever grateful for that. I would highly recommend this facility to anyone who is struggling with addiction and looking for a safe and supportive environment to begin their journey to recovery. Thank you, Baja Rehab, for everything you did for me.
